h&r handi rifle
 

has anyone got any experience on htie h&r handi rifle . i know its ugly but i want a cheap single shot in the new .204 ruger and i can get one for less than $200

I have a NEF .243 bull barrel , and I love it. Its very accurate and fun to shoot. I would say you will not find that rifle in a .204 yet. They have limited there production to the basic caliburs. You could try there web site and see. Most of them are around $200.00. Mine was $202.00 ordered from wal-mart. Good luck!

I've seen Handirifles shoot with rifles costing 4 to 5 times as much. They are a decent gun for the money, are plenty accurate enough to take deer sized game at any reasonable range, are very lightweight, simple and reliable. They don't have any bells-and-whistles, and they won't win you and status or bragging rights, but what the heck difference does it make what kind of gun you used to kill a trophy buck? If I had reason too I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

If you can afford better, by all means buy better. But if you can't or don't wish to spend a lot of cash on a rifle, and don't consider having ONLY one shot an unbearable handicap (my fellow muzzleloaders will snicker at that thought), then the Handi-rifle is a fine choice.

go to www.greybeardoutdoors.com there is a h&r/nef forum there. TONS of info on handi rifles. they are of excellent quality. shoot WAY better than the price would suggest. they are available in MANY calibers, including the .204

I have a .223 H&R Handi-Rifle. It shoots fine for what I need. Will so sub-MOA groups at 100 yds which is fine for yotes out to 250 or so. Not a bad buy for the money, and you CAN get it chambered in the Bull Barrel model for the .204 Ruger.

I checked the website and they don't list the .204 for their rebarrel option[&:].

I just got my new catalog and it does not list the .204 .

I talked to NEF and was told they wouldn't be available in the .204 until end of July - August.
