Reminton Titanium

I am concidering a 700 T in 260 rem as a mtn rifle. I have never owned anything but blue steel. Any comments?? Sure seems well balanced and machined nicely, have never used the 260 rem but it has good write ups.

A very good rifle and the caliber is very underrated. They are pretty much in high demand everywhere from what I understand.

If you mean you are looking at the Titanium, its price will scare you. I have heard not so good of things from it. If you like 6" groups go for it. If you are talking about a stainless steel buy the Mountain rifle (LSS). The gun is cheaper in price and is great.

I thought that titanium was the best metal available?

These are very well made accurate rifles the titanium adds great weatherproofing abilities as well . If the barrel alloy were 17-4 you would have as close to a weatherproof rifle as one can get. After owning a couple of KS mountain rifles out of the custom shop I would prefer the titanium over any of them. It would be tough picking between the 260 rem and the 7-08 also. I have had more Remingtons then almost any other brand in my life and I never had a remington that shot 6" groups the norm is probably 1 - 1 1/2 inch groups.

Well, I couldnt pass it up..I bought it. Took it to the range with federal factory ammo ( didnt have the dies to reload yet) 140 gr. ( thats all they had left) and she shot under an inch with my Nikon 2x7 scope at 100 yds. The triger was crisp and clean, the finish is nice and the balance of this 5.25 lb rifle was great, much less recoil than i expected from a very light rifle, very easy to shoot. Now all i have to do is pick up the reloading dies and see what she likes to eat.

I have new brass and bullets and dies, if you need them there for sale. I loader 5 bullets for a guy and he sold the gun, left me with the dies , bullets and brass.
