G2 Contender Pistol

Anyone experienced with the G2 Contender Pistol? It seems to be a way for a guy on a limited budget, and interested in handgun hunting, to go. All advice is appreciated!

BigAl, the G2 does offer some updated features, but I can't justify the cash difference between a used "old style" Contender and a new G2. Around here, you can pick up a older Contender for $350 or less and use the extra cash that you would have spent on a G2 on a quality scope. Just my .02.

I would also look at the Encore. My new Encore was the same price as a G2. The Encore allows you the option of going bigger cal.

I'll agree with T/C fan. I just sold a mint 45/.410 Contender on Auction Arms for $325.00. Look around and you may find someone selling their Contender just to update to the G2.
