New rifle purchase need information
 

I just purchased a Winchester Model 70 supershadow in the 300wsm caliber. Does anyone own one? How's the accuracy, recoil, and quality of the rifle? I will primarily be hunting deer any recommended ammunition? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased one last month in 7 wsm...bought it at Walmart really with the intent of using the action as a donor and building a rifle out of it that better fitted me.... I have experience with the 300 wsm and felt recoil in this gun will be more then from the 7 or 270 wsm . If its the walmart gun make sure all the bases and screws on the gun are tight. If you can afford to remove the scope and mounts and replace them with something better. I put the scope on my 22 and it worked out fine...

i bought the model 70 3006 at walmart and i think it's a fine gun. I actually went to the gun shop and looked at theirs and couldn't tell the difference other than the $200 more on the price tag.

Most people do a little research on the gun, caliber and performance BEFORE buying a gun.
