Has anyone ever shot any stoeger guns. I am most interested in their O/U but would like any info on stoeger as possible. Thanks

I think Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger and A Uberti are all under the same "umbrella". I've not shot one, but did inspect a Stoeger Model 2000. It was nice enough, but certainly no Benelli. I'd rate it just behind a Franchi which is just behind a Benelli. It will certainly do the job and is alot cheaper than a Benelli. Just depends on your criteria and likes / dislikes. thanks for the info. I am in the process of purchasing a Franchi 912 auto loader and was also wanting to get an O/U and just wondering about stoeger.

I just picked up a Stoeger Uplander SxS from Bass Pro Shops. It's a 12 gauge and not a O/U, however I was impressed with the price. I've read a lot of comments on the Stoeger; many people out there poo-poo them. I believe that most of the comments are born from snobbery. It appears to be well made; although not a piece of artwork, my guns that I choose and acquire are meant to work, not to look pretty.....

From being associated with various military weapons for 21 prime years of my life, I choose funtionality and reliability over appearance.

I wholeheartedly agree. I have a Stoeger Uplander 20 guage and have shot the snot out of it without any glitches whatsoever. For the price you just can't beat them.
