I bought a Savage 17HMR with a cheap Tasco scope (with thoughts of removing the 3-9 Tasco) and it is a little hole puncher. I shot it at 100yds and got pretty consistent 1" groups even with the Tasco. (Off the bench)

I may put a Leupold on it...but unless the Tasco gives me trouble I don't really see the point.

The gun/scope combo was $175 at a local dealer. He even threw in a box of shells. They're down to $7.49, which is better than they used to be.

The little NEF will shoot along side any rifle in this caliber. The price is sure right as well. I have seen quite a few of these and they will all shoot half inch or better @ 100 yards.

Hi Fellas let me tell you I just got the stainless Marlin for Christmas and after that I spoke to an area Gun dealer who sell the Marlin Cz RUger and a Henry and he told me that the Marlin out shoots them all, and from what I did with mine I know the others will have to go far to beat cutting holes at 75 yards from an outers varment rest, I have not shot it any further at this time but I intend to try it at squirles at 150 yds next week ( on a corn pile from my rest ) Ill let you know how I make out. So far I am IMPRESSED!!!!

I just recently picked up one in the CZ-452 American. I've heard nothing but praise about these guns, and their accuracy. Click onto the link below for more info on this particular gun.

I've got the Marlin VS (stainless) and I love it. Shoots Excellent groups out to 100 yards. I have'nt tried it any further out than that yet. Although it doesn't like the CCI ammo, I use the Hornady ammo.
