Bergara Again
 

This rifle continues to impress me the more I shoot it. I had posted my targets on another site about my ammo test. Someone suggested I try SK Standard Plus. I was able to find some a purchased a box of 50. After sighting in the new scope on my 17 HMR I took out the Bergara and fired 5 shots with the CCI Mini-Mags to verify sight in. Next I loaded up the 5 round and 10 round magazines for the Bergara with the SK ammo. I like to fire 5 shots when ever I change ammo to "settle" the bore because I found that if you don't the first couple seem to go astray.
I then settled in with the 10 round mag and carefully fired them off. I wish I wasn't so lazy and changed the target but it was getting too darn hot.
Anyway I knew were all the holes were. Target attached put the 10 rounds into .340" outside measurement.(Identified by the white hashmarks) Subtracting the .221" for bullet diameter that's a .119" 10 shot group! Good grief Charley Brown!

my comp. 22 takes around 1/2 a box to settle in with different ammo, it should get better, when you find ammo it likes get all of that type and lot number you can get!

I'm gong to be taking it out again this week to see if I can duplicate this with a fresh target. If I'd had known this ammo would have shot this good I would have bought more than one 50 round box. It does shoot CCI Mini-Mags 36 gr Varmint and Federal Target almost as well and I just picked up 2200 rounds of the CCI and 3300 rounds of the Federal. Adding this to the ammo I already have I should be good for a while.
