Weatherby Vanguard Sporter .300 Win Mag
Picked up a Weatherby Vanguard sporter as part of a trade. Wood looks really good. Trigger feels really good. Haven't shot it yet. But will try to do that sometime soon here and get some photos posted.
I really have no use for a .300 win mag, so I'll probably look to re-home it eventually or trade it for something else. But, since I've never had a Weathebry I figured I'd put some rounds down range before deciding. Maybe it'll grow on me. -Jake |

Here's a few quick photos I took when I brought it home, hopefully they attached properly.

the vangards are generally very accurate, I owned one for decades in 300 win mag , mine had its best accuracy
consistently under 1" 5 shot 100 yard groups ,with speer 165 grain https://www.speer-ammo.com/bullets/r...65-sptz-bullet h4831 and fed 215 primers its not nearly a mark V but its still a good rifle I gave it to one of my sons who still uses it for mule deer. http://www.handloads.com/loaddata/de...=Rifle&Source= |
Jake if I remember i'll bring up an almost full box of Hornady 300WM cartridges to the camp during bear season for you.

I traded this rifle off.
But it's coming back to me soon. Looking forward to working with it this summer. -Jake |

I'm thinking I was born twenty five years too late for the good elk hunting unfortunately! But yes, it'd be great for that lol - Jake |
