I' ve never shot a Mossy semi before so it' s tough to say how the 935 will fare. Mossy gave a sneak peak at DU' s festival in OSHKOSH,WISCONSON and from what I' ve heard the new 3 1/2" " workhorse" , as Mossy has dubbed it,passed with flying colors. Shouldered and swung good with no problems with feeding or kicking out empties. Still pretty early to tell how it will stand up to real life goose pounding though.I want to get a new 3 1/2" for next season but haven' t made up my mind which way to go yet, but if the 935 is as reliable as the 500 pumps,I' m sold. Now,if only I can get it in MOSG.:D;)

I owned one of their 9200 semi-auto' s when it first came out. Mine was a very good gun, with great film-dipped camo. The only thing I didn' t like about it was that it patterned most of it' s shot about a foot low from point of aim at 20 yards.
Other than that, it functioned flawlessly. I imagine the 935 will be a good gun, but it' s still a Mossberg and most die-hard Remington fans don' t give them a fair shake. I' ve seen just as many junk Rems and Winchesters as I have Mossbergs.

RE: Mossberg 935

My personal opinion is Mossberg makes the BEST shotguns available but I am a deer and hog hunter only. I can not speak for the bird guys. I have found that my Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag. is the most durable and dependable shotgun I have ever owned. Being a deer and hog hunter, I have had my Mossberg in situations that guns were just not suppose to be in. I have personally used mine as a " crutch" while walking through the swamps of Florida. When I got back to my truck, I broke it apart, sprayed it down with wd 40 (I had nothing else to clean it with while I was out in the woods), put it back together. Later that afternoon I shot a 280+ pound wild hog. It performed flawlessly. Other unnamed brand shotguns would jam and malfunction with the slightest bit of dust, much less caked with gumbo mud.

Furthermore, every gun manufacturer has " lemon" guns. For someone to totally down a whole manufacturer in general just shows their lack of intelligence in the field of fire arms.
