Actually with todays muzzlebrakes and frame designs, the recoil is not as bad as many think. In all actuality, my 44 mag Lone Eagle recoils more than my 460 with full house rounds!!!! And it has a 14 barrel with scope as well. Just more flash for the crowd!!!

Thats a 100% fact!!!!! My 44 to my 460 sounds like a 22 to a 44 mag!!!!! On range I wear 2 sets of ear protection. Plugs and Magnum muffs. Hunting I wear electronic muffs. My brothers buddy shot his 460 with no ear protection and after 5 shots he said his ears were bleeding!!!! Who knows. I had a slight concussion after 10 shots with just ear plugs-Silencio's!!!

Random thought... I'm assuming they can, but can .45Colt dies not reload .460S&W?
I have both .45C and .454C (longer) dies, so I can full length occasionally clear down to the web, or rather, to make me feel better about it in my head.

I'm not sure. The 460s are considerably longer than the casulls. I have not started loading for either yet. I have gone out a couple of times and ran about 50 rounds of 454s through her and about 50 rounds of 460s each time. I absolutely love this gun. It puts my 44 mags to shame. When I get time I will start reloading. That is when I get a chance to get some bullets. I've got brass, primers, and powder, just nothing to top it off with yet. I will look into using the Casull dies for it, if not Ill order some 460 dies. I think I will primarily shoot 460s. Casulls are Ok, but with the ability to shoot 460s I see no need for the smaller Casulls. And for 45s, ive got plenty of guns that shoot long colts.
