My T3 lite is a 7 pound hunting rifle that shoots like a 13 pound varmint rifle.

My gunsmith loves them. I've read nothing but positive comments about them and plan on getting one someday. Let us know what you think if you get one.

I have one in 7MM Rem Mag. and love the gun. Smooth action, crisp trigger, and I have a Leupold VXII 3-9x40 on it. Have taken deet out to 250 yards no prob., and the accuracy is great. sub MOA groups consistantly.

Your personal experience seems to be the norm, judging by what I've read from other people posting comments on Tikka rifles.

Default Tikka T3

I traded for (1). I had some accuracy issues with it until I floated the barrel all the way to the action & replaced the factory aluminum recoil lug with a new stainless steel lug. The rifle is the T3 Lite SS & it's a 7MM-08. It consistently shoots 140 gr. Core-Lokts into 1.25". It did not like the Hornady Superformance 139 gr. SST load at all. Fit, finish, function, & looks are great. The action is smooth and the trigger adjusts well and breaks clean. I think you would be happy with this rifle.

I should have noted that I am using Federal Premium ammo which seems to work best. Remington and Winchester also shoot well but usually are in the 1.5" range for a 3 shot group.

I have a T-3 in 25-06. When I first got it I went to the range with 4 different types of ammo hoping to find at least one it liked. It shot all 4 types great. I still haven't really found anything it shoots poorly. But without doubt the 117gr Hornady interlocks pictured below are it's favorite.

The first time I took my T3 lite (30-06) to the range I loaded the magazine and closed the bolt and thought I had a feeding issue. The action is so smooth that you cannot even feel the bolt pick up the round from the mag and chamber it. Super slick and the accuracy is second to none. I've seen custom rifles that didn't shoot as well as my Tikka. Now I'm not recoil shy at all but my only 'complaint' is that the old '06 lets you know it went off out of that 7 lb rifle.
I would not hesitate to buy another one. In fact I am considering on in 338 Federal.
