Sabots for deer shotgun?

Hi guys I have a baretta pintail ES100 deer gun fully rifled barrel, would like to know what sabots shoot well out of this gun, or just what sabots you guys have had success with. So far tried platinum tip winchester and and all over the paper at 100yrds and boy do they kick, so if i can get something with less recoil and better accuracy would sure help .me

Give the Lightfields a try, they shoot great out of most guns, and they have 3" ,2 3/4" and also a light recoil load.Good Luck

I agree with the LIGHTFEILDS they shot great with all my rifled barrel shotguns, remington 11-87, 12 ga., mossbergs 835 12 ga., and a 500 20 ga., i use 2.75" slugs in all

I been shooting copper solids for a few years, Man they will wear you down. Going to go to the lightfields this year.

Remington 11-87, full rifled w/scope. Will shoot Lightfield, Win Supreme Partition Gold about 3.5" at 100 yds. The key for me was barrel cleaning. The plastic sabots leave a huge amount of residue in the barrel. If accuracy is not good, put a good cleaning on it. Make sure you have a solvent that says will disolve plastic fouling. Soak a patch, run it thru and I bet you will be surprise what comes out. Mine groups go to pieces if I don' t clean after 3 shots of the Win. I have done some bench testing while cleaning after every shot. Did manage 4" at 125 yds.

Lightfield are cheaper and shoot great. Good Luck.

Hi guys thanx for the replies,I live in canada montreal and they dont have lightfields here so when I get to platsburg newyork I will buy some and try them out.But I tried some rem coppersolid, not that good, federal barnes expanders not that good, and rem coreloqcts not bad at 100yrds. Now I also tried the win partition gold and boy do shoot good out of my gun 3/4 inch 3 shot group excellent at 100Yrds. They all shot well at 50 yards bullets touching. So I hope this can help anyone with a fully rifled slug gun.

Wouldn' t be fair to yourself to not try the Brenneke Sabots if you are sold on sabots. But CERTAINLY DO NOT OVERLOOK the Brenneke Gold Magnums, they are designed and OK for (like most Brenneke slugs) for rifled barrels.

I' ve used Brenneke for years in a variety of shotguns and their performance has always been consistent. Consistently top notch.

Many people talk up alot of different brands, but no one ever talks Brenneke down.
There is a reason for it.
