Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley
#2
I had SBH bisley hunter for a couple of years. It's built like a tank and the bisley grip frame makes a world of difference in felt recoil. It basically just rolls back in the hand instead of barking like a mad dog. The one thing I found was I had a heck of time getting used to the scope I put on it. I ended up going with a red dot and that worked better for me.
I planned on using it for whitetails, but somehow my shotgun or bow always got used instead. I didn't like having it just sit there in the safe, so I ended up selling it a couple of years ago.
If you're really into or want to get into handgun hunting deer sized game or larger you can't wrong with one of these.

I just got that exact one. It took me a long time to find it. It's absolutely beautiful.
I'm going to leave the scope off for a while. But eventually I would like to get one for it.
I too plan on hunting whitetail with it. However shooting paper targets should be a blast.
Now I need to research which ammunition I should use. I don't reload, so it could get costly.
