Browning A-Bolt Shotgun Is Back

They will be making the A-Bolt in 2011 from what I hear both in 12ga., and 20ga. with a retail price of $1100, some what out of my price range

And I plan to buy one, maybe two.:woot:

I was under the impression that the Browning A-Bolt is in rifle configurations only? I have 2, 1 in .243 and the other a Browning A-Bolt Medalion in 7mm WSSM. I did not see that they were coming out in shotgun gauges now.

secondchance, Browning made the ABolt as a shotgun as well back in the 90's, it was well ahead of it's time, but what killed it was the price at the time. I know it will be a better shotgun then the Savage as far as looks, smoothness, etc. but I don't know if it will shoot better, and for the price it maybe out of range for many...time will only tell

I must have missed that memo!!! I have never seen them as a shotgun. I have 2 of the rifles and love them. Were they in a slug gun configuration? If so, I would imagine that it would be a tack driver in the bolt design. maybe something to look into. Thanks!!!!!

It is.

I will buy one.

Dad has had a A-Bolt 12g Shotgun for years. It shoots as well as any of our other A-Bolts.

crap, I just finished paying off my A-Bolt Ti .300wsm.

Very acreyet with Remington cope solids at 50 yards and shooting out to 100 yards with accutips.:barmy:

So what will happen to the value of the older a-bolt slug guns? I have two that were never fired that I was holding onto hoping they'd end up being collector pieces.

They are already going down in price some. If I was you, I would try to sell now, and hopefully get 1800 a piece.

I checked out some info...

Unlike the previous A-Bolt shotguns, the new ones will be a little more receptive to the newer high-power shells like the Partition Gold's (faster twist).

Price range $1000-$1200 give or take. Wood, Black & Duratech camo.

Dad's A-Bolt 12guage ver 1.0 can only shoot the older winchester slugs accurately. We tried the Partition gold slugs in it and it was all over the paper.

....im interested. The gf is going to kill me though....
