Shes been around guns for some time, shoots a lil 357 and a 9mm, the 500 weighs a ton and she doesn't feel comfy shooting it off a bench rest or shooting stick.
she hunts with shot guns and rifles, she likes the looks of the 500 but no chance of getting her to shoot it, she watched me shoot it many times and even shot by my side with her Lil pistols. lots of fun, guess this ones all mine.. |
3 more days then the s&w 500 gets to go out for deer again.. wife just traded her Walther p990 for another new gp100, she really like those Lil pistols..now she has two. Hopefully one of us will score a buck with our revolvers..

The GP100 is a very nice and well built .357 Mag. What size barrel? They did a limited run of 5" GP100 versions which is ideal for competition. Ruger makes some nice firearms, and they are still made in the U.S. the last I checked.

The one she just got has a 4" on it with the wood rubber grips..the other one has a 6" with black grips nice Lil revolvers that is for sure. She also got some FEDERAL 180gr power shoc and some blazer 158gr alum casings to test drive with it, but i think she will be taken her Lil 300 savage rifle and just carrying one of her 357 rugers along on the hunt.
me i ll be sticking with the 500 all the way and leaving the 7mm at home. Just removed the aimpoint 7000sc red dot last weekend and I'm going to try with open sites. where we hunt not much open space so it will be close encounters during the hunt.. ![]() ![]() |
Very nice!

Nice pictures and those 'little' revolvers are cute and I guess they do work OK
Just kidding you guys for sure about your S&W. Fine revolvers indeed. Have a 29 for a long time now. An older model with the recessed cylinder that I regularly use for deer. . But here is my "baby". Complete with a Bushnell 2-6X scope, she gets the job done to. ![]() BFR .45/70 Gov't Revolver7.5-Inch Barrel, Stainless Steel |
