Remington 7500

Thinking about buying a 7500 30-06. Wondering what people think of the gun. Thanks

Are you referring to the Remington 750 Woodsmaster, perhaps? If so, I'll say that my brother has one in 270 Win and it is reasonably accurate and has been completely reliable. However, I've heard that many have had major problems with the magazines for the 750's chambered in short action cartridges (which the 30-06 isn't, of course).

I heard the new 7500's are great. I had an old 7400 in 270 that was a pile. My father in law has a 7400 in .308, it never jams and is accurate. EJ

There is no 7500. It's the 750. And I love them!

Haven't seen or heard of any issues. Was worried about the after market 10 round mags, but they've been awesome.

The Model 7500 is sold only in France. Basically, it is a model 750 except that it does not have a detachable magazine. The Magazine holds only two rounds (per French law). They do not sell the 7500 in the USA, perhaps someone brought it back here.

7500 Remingtion

There are Remington 7500s (30-06) and their sales were not limited to France. They were also sold in Michigan in 1983, so they could be here and there, but limited. I know this because I bought one. The contemporary is the 750, but the autoloader used to be the 7500 and I never had an issue with the magazine. Well I wish I could of had a 10 round mag, but thats about it. They are accurate enough and effective in the right environment. Anyone who knows anything about MMS would not use them for long range tgts, but I would use them in any environment while engaging tgts out to 600 meters...with the appropriate round and optic.

300---Thanks for answering the OP question even though it's been almost 6 years ago since he asked it and he hasn't been back since!

Got to wonder how these old threads get dug up.

Honestly I was reading the post and was a little curious about it myself... I had a 750 WM in 30-06 and it was not tack driver that is for sure!!! Every now and then it would shoot a decent group
