Agreed very hard to beat this one, and or a good lever action 1894 Marlin (I perfer the 41 mag, but that's just me)

Default I'd pick the....

Savage in 30-06. If you could only have 1 rifle, I'm picking the one that has the most versatility of loads, at the lowest cost rifle. JMO

I would go for a lever gun if I was in that senario. Get a 30-30. Out of the rifles you mentioned I would pick the 30-06 just because the remington 700 is a great rifle and 30-06 is a great cartridge. Second would be the 270 and thats only because I don't have experience with the tikka.

Tikka 270. The Tikka's are an awesome gun. Love the performance and the feel of them. And the 270 is just my favourite overall calibre.

Of the ones you listed I'd pick the Remington seven in 7mm-08.

But I would rather have a Winchester model 70 featherweight in the same caliber.

Huh, with a 150yd max I don't know how you could figger one as better than another. Only gun I personally wouldn't ever buy--a 270. I hate 'em for some reason . Gimme a 25, a 28, or a 30 cal.
