I'd probably take the Savage in 308. I would opt for the 30-06, but I wouldn't want a Rem 700.

Outside that list, I do like my Rem. 742 (circa 1970) in 30-06. I have shot a lot of deer between 20-125 yards and they don't go far.

Sorry Critical but you listed a bunch of rifles that would definately get the job done but for your scenerio I would not get either. If I hunt conditions like that (which I do here in PA) when I open the gun safe, I reach for the Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70. Short, light and will ruin any whitetails day at the ranges mentioned.
