Difference Between 7mm-08 and 308
I was wondering what the difference is between these two calibers?

.284 X 140gr X 2800fps
.308 X 150gr X 2800fps The 7-08 has a higher sectional density and ballistic coefficient (when comparing those std loads) meaning it drops less and should penetrate better. |
huh........

308 = parent case to 7mm-08
7mm-08 is a 308 necked down to accept 7mm (.284) bullets. Both are short action rounds, considered "inherently" accurate, and effective deer-stoppers. |
No no you explainded it well i just found it pretty interesting how much some people know....

I bought my wife a Marlin 7-08 340.00 cheap compared to my 1,000.00 270WSM and I have killed two with the 7-08 and love it it is my go to gun when the wife doesnt go
