hey guys, im about to buy a 30.06, which company would be the best, and reasonable in pricing? what is your oersonal experience, thanks

My personal favorite is the Browning A-bolt. I also own a Rem. 700 in that caliber, also, that is a close second.I have never shot a Vanguard, but I am thinking about getting one soon due to all the good reports I have heard about them. Shoulderall of them, and buy the one that feels the best.

cville - Newton said it best. Find the one that fits you well and feels good to you. You will get good shooters and 'lemons' from every manufacturer - just like cars. However, that being said, I've seen the Vangards in Walmart for under $400 and if I was right handed I would probably have one. However, being lefty I've owned Remingtons and Savages and I'd lean toward the Savage.

#1 Review all the "fearures" you most prefer.



#2 Look at all the models with those features in your price range.



#3 Go to the gun shops and inspect for workmenship and of course "fit".



#4 You will knowwhich onewhen you shoulder it and rack the bolt.



The "right" gun will end up picking you !!!

I had the opportunity to shoot a Savage with an Accu-trigger a few times. To be honest I didn't like the trigger at first it takes a little getting use to. I shot the same gun (my nephews) the fourth time a couple of weeks ago and decided toorder one last week. I would've never guessed I'd own a Savage, but they are making a good product for the money right now. So if the Savage feels good and fits you right my vote is for Savage. You may also want to consider Tikka and the Marlin XL7. IMO all three of these manufactures make good guns for the money. Which is very Reasonable. I hope I was some help Good Luck.

1. Remington 700 Alaskan Ti
2. Remington 700 CDL
3. Remington 700 BDL
4. Remington 700 SPS (Best Bang For The Buck!)

If you recieve any information otherthan what is in this post, about the best 30.06, they are dead wrong and do not know what they are talking about. This is the only correct answer.

Boy someone in here is a true Remington fan. Probably because of the fact that they are so close minded and can't accept change even if its for the better.
