Scope mount ???

Default Scope mount ???

On this older 12 gauge bolt action can anyone tell me if the screws in the pics could quite possibly an area to mount a scope for this gun and if would anyone know how to aquire a scope mount for this particular shotgun.?

if its the marlin 55 version i would maybe try some federal truball low recoil slugs and this scope mount should work . http://www.wescooutfitters.com/p-304...by-weaver.aspx

i think you need to mount this base first then the side mount with the rings will screw into the side mount plate but check with a gunsmith. http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd....rSuperSKU=&MC=

That is very helpful info, I saved those sites in my favs. Also I went through Midway Ammoand bought a box of Federal True Ball hollow points product # 335976 and a box of Hornady 2 3/4 double-ought buckshot product# 439733, this is some serious ammo !!!, you gotta check these out.

Those two holes are for a venier type sight. Say, the excellant Lyman Micro caliper adjustable sight.
The holes are not for a scope mount base ect...
I have seen a mount that utilized those holes but cannot remember who makes it. You might try S&K Mounts
