RE: Stevens/Mossberg/Weatherby?

I have 2 Vangards. One I bought 2 years ago in 30-06 and one I just purchased. I am very impressed with both. Both shoot under 1" at 100 yards and are the most out of the box accurate rifles i've ever owned. For the price they can't be beat!! Hope this helps GIL

i believe you can find vanguards for 399.00. great rifle for the money if they fit you. you need to shoulder them all, then decide. nothing much worse than having a rifle that doesn't feel right at your shoulder.

For the money you can't beat a Vanguard. I do like the packages Savage puts together as well. I have put my 30-06 Vanguard throught the ringer and it still shoots great and I have never had a problem with it. These are the best two packages for under $500.00 in my opinion.
