Need help with miss fires
 

H&R Ultra slug 20g
At the range out of the 30 plus shots sighting in happen twice.
Now tonight shooting at 6 pointer squeeze trigger and click nothing.
Firing pin hitting primer..Pull hammer back again and click nothing.
What the hell is going on??

i have a h&r the only time it has done this is when i srayed a heavy coat of rem. oil on it from
the year before since i only use it for gun season ,no joke,the oil gummed the gun up so bad it would not
fire,it had adent in the primer just like yours but not enough,i will never use rem.oil again

used 3in 1 oil used a rag cleaned it,it worked the hammer back and forth,that was last year,it never did it again
when it did that to me it was a very windy opening day i had a chance to try firing 3 times changed slug then on 3rd time it fired

Plus...gun oil and cold weather don't mix sometimes. If you need a lube in cold weather use graphite.

i will give it a try but i'm sick to my guts about this miss fire......I will use the TC Pro the rest of the year. Off season gonna sell the H&R can't trust it anymore. Do you know anyone in Maryland looking for one? $200 no scope.

Also go to www.greybeardoutdoors.com they have a forum for H&R, that is how I figured out what was wrong with mine. I realize your frustration but guns are machines and will sometimes fail, I would repair it and give it a second chance. And if you send it in for repair, just send the reciever, that is what I did, lots easier and cheaper to ship.
