mossberg rifles ???
 

does anyone know who makes these gun.I have shot one and it shot really well.I am looking at a youth rifle for my boy and these are priced pretty good.I have heard savage makes them and also heard it was howa.

ummm Mossberg makes Mossberg. can u be a little more specific on the type of rifle it was??
ATR 100, 4x4, plinkster, etc...
from what ive read the Mossberg ATR 100 was a clone of one of Howa's rifles, not sure which one tho.
my neighbor swears savage makes the bolt action for just about every gun madeand who ever buys itputs theirbrand name on it. but i find that REALLY hard to believe as ive never sean evidence of this anywere.

but if it helps i own a Mossberg ATR100 in .270 cal. i love it, shoots great and accurate, ive had it a little over a year now with no problems.

I am looking at a model100 atr youth super bantam in 243 for my boy. I have heard that howa made the guns for them was just trying to find out

as far as i know the ATR100 is clone of the Howa but its made by mossberg

no prob. i love mine, im sure the 243 would be great for your son and you cant beat the price, bought mine at wal mart for 250 bux, put a scope on it and never looked back.
btw check ur local walmart to see if they have one, if not they can order u one far cheaper then any gun shop.

checked at walmart the other day. There books had evey gun from mossberg but that one.They said that the model 100 atrsuper bantam came out sometime this year and there book wasnt updated yet.Honestly I think the guy was lost but o'well went to a local gun shop yesterday and ordered it .It will be here friday.Cant beat it for $275.I am sure my boy will be happy

They were manufatured by someone else before, I think they were Made by Charter Arms and called the "Field King" before Mossberg bought them out. I have a .308 ATR with a very nice looking walnut stock that I bought at Wal-mart for $315. The gun shoots awesome, I flat out love the thing. Here is a pic of mine, I finally figured out how to post it.
