I bought a Marlin bull barrel 17 hmr with a good Nikkon scope a few years ago. You can drive tacks with the thing at 100 yards, and i have made some nice shots in the 200 yard range. Great little gun to grab if you just want to wander around the woods and be able to shoot anything from squirrels to coyotes.

Hey Reb, what bullet was you using? Mine loves the Federal .17 gr V-Max but I picked up a box of CCI FMJ to try as well.
