In Primo's The Truth 1, in the "Extras", they hit a big bull with a 7mm.RM. He drops straight to the ground! BOOM!& down. They helped in my choice when upgrading from my beloved .30-06. I couldn't be happier! Flat shooting, powerful, negotiable recoil (I have a separated shoulder) and commonly available ammo.

To be honest, I never owned a 7mm mag. Only because I had a 270 Win, 30-06 and 300 Win Mag. However, if you only had one rifle, the 7mm would be tough to beat.

Dozen Arrows

To me, the 7mm Rem Mag is the perfect median in between the 30.06 and the 300 Win Mag. That's why I chose it for my long range hunting rifle.

HEAD0001 makes an excellent comment.Two shots from any"deer rifle"into the chest is a "kill". Gutshot deer can 100's even 1000's of yards. Chest shot deer will go 10's of yards !!
