Beretta Xtrema 2 questions !! please help

i have been trying to find out the actual difference in the Xtrema vs. the Xtrema 2 i wish any of my local gunshops had the original in stock, but of course like any good customer service provider. they are useless lol.. i would like to purchase an xtrema 2 but cannot find any statistics of comparisons of the 2 guns, and since the orig. is cheaper i would rather pick that 1 if the performance is that same??

can some 1 help me out in providing me the difference between these 2 guns !! thx

Most of the differences are just cosmetic. The Xtrema 2 has a larger trigger guard and trigger area to accomodate gloved fingers. Safety is larger also I believe. It features the Aqua coat weather treating, which prevents rust (and does a hell of a job at it too). I don't know for sure if the first Xtrema used the longer Optima chokes or not, but the Xtrema 2 does. It also has the option of the Kick-Off recoil reducer. Functionally they are damn near identical.

Here are the differences

Xtrema 2
[ol][*]Reciever has 2 on it;)[*]Trigger group is different, it has a different hammer so the weight could be lightened yet hit hard enough[*]The Receiver portion of the barrel is milled out more to accomodate the new trigger group hammer[*]It has Kickoff as an option[*]The stock has been made a little slimmer[/ol]
You can use the barrel from a Xtrema 2 on a plain xtrema but not conversely. In order to do that you would also need the trigger group.

The waterproof finish is on the Xtrema I had and yes it had optima chokes. Same Choke tubes on both models
