RE: H&R shotguns?
I checked it out and it looks like you get what you pay for. I was not attracted to it at all. They did have some nice pump actions for around 140 or so however. But, I am going to probably end up with an 870 deer/turkey combo.
Thanks for the input everyone

I just bought a new H & R 20 Ga. Ultra slug Thumhole stock
need to know what kind of scope to mount on it, I have heard the Nikon Slug multi reticle is nice.

I have Nikon Prostaffs 2x7x32on my slug guns and muzzleloaders. Great scope for the $125. I heard those H&R USGs like them fast slugs.....

RE: H&R shotguns?
I have a Bushnell multi-reticle red/green dot on my slug gun and Bushnell holosights on my son's slug gun and my Benelli Nova slug barrel. Here in Iowa, there is rarely a shot over about 80 yds, so I find them great for quick acquisition, both eyes open shooting. Yet they are still effective at 100+ yds. With the rifled barrels and sabot slugs, where the dot is, so goes the slug.
