I have an 88 12 ga., bought it brand new for $150 about 10 years ago. No complaints with this gun. It is everything you'd want in a 12 ga pump.

I just recently bought a plinkster bolt action 22. It is made in Brazil. Haven't shot it yet, but out the door for $182 brand new with a cheap 3 x 9 scope on it. The trigger has a slight creep to it, but way better than my 10/22.

I own the 100 atr in the camo stock in 30-06, i have a tasco true mil-dot scope on it, and i love it. seems to me that the stocks on the atr are alot heavier and built better than most other synthetic stocks suck as like savage. As far as shooting i shoot 180 grn remington factory loads through it, it has a bit of a kick for a 30-06 but shoot very well, im impressed.

I got a Mossberg 500 and love it! I have only had it a month and so far has performed great. Before that I borrowed my uncles 835 for Turkeys, It was Amazing, I got two toms with it.
My friend has an 835 and killed a lot of turkeys with it. He bought the 935 when it came out and took it out for turkeys andmissed 4!!! He went back home and got his 835 out and went back to the woods and shot a tom at 72 yards with the kicks choke! It is a sweet gun. He hasn't cleaned it in 8 years and vows he never will because he swears the accuracy is better that way!

All in all I love the mossbergs!

You got jipped [8D] They have them on sale here for $109 with the cheap 3x9 on them. I own a Mossy 500, paid $350 for the combo because i got the synthetic stock and mossy oak breakup and i love this thing. It shoots awesome at the trap range and wonderfully out to 150 yards with SST's in the rifled barrel. The Mossy to me is a working mans gun.

One a working man can afford and one that will take a beating and get the job done. Who cares what the gun looks like as long as it gets the job done and does it well. It looking all pretty isn't going to kill the deer, shooting accurately and flawlessly will. I am seriously considering the ATR for bear hunting in NY with my uncle.

i have a Mossberg 385-T 20ga bolt action. killed my first deer with it. it's always worked nicely for me. only problem i've had was once my extractor didn't pull the shell out. Ipushed the bolt forward a second time and it pulled the shell out no problem.

I don't own a Mossberg, but I have read a couple of field tests for the ATR and results were pretty impressive. It's gotta be the the worlds most ugly rifle but it sounds like it's reliable and a straight shooter. Overall, I think Mossberg has a poor reputation and with no good cause. They have a decent price tag and anyone I know who owns one has nothing but good to say about them.
Yeah, if you remember about 5 years ago they sponsered many bird hunting shows and had a great rep. Then here about 3-4 years ago they started getting bad rep.

Mosseberg man: I have heard that they are good little gun. You can get them on sale for about 90-100$. But I suggest if you aren't in a hurry to pick up a 10/22. There are far more accesories ,higher availability of parts, and a greater return investment.

I own one of their shotguns and it shoots really nice. If their rifles shoot the same then I probally pick one up in .223-.243 for a nice pelt saving varmint gun.

I happen to own 2 Mossberg 500's and like them both. One is a tactical model I built off an old Coast to Coast stores MasterMag660 reciever and magazine tube. The other is 500A Bantam with a replacement Hogue Bantam overmoulded rubber stock and a factory 18 1/2" barrel with the accu-choke II. Yep, an 18 1/2" barrel with the accu-choke. Also have the vented28" field / bird barrel with the choke. Here is a picture of the Tactical Model. I'd hardly call it "ugly" :

I haven't had any trouble from them & they handle great, I'm still waiting on my Hogue 12" lop STOCK AND FORARM for my hunting Mossy500. Gotta love an inexpensive, tough, versatile, and basically baddass shotgun!
