Nobody threw the 30/30 in there? It used to be the one rifle for everything 100 years ago, but I guess that there are better options out there nowdays. I still like it for my Deer hunting rifle in the tight woods, which is primarily what we have to hunt around here. For smaller stuff, a 22 rifle works just fine and for larger stuff, I havent seen anything that a .270 or 30/06 cant handle.

I'll admit that I've not been aroundthe 243 a whole lot, but I would have no problem taking one on a white tail hunt.

Well, I guess I'd pick the 22LR in case I got in the mood for a rabbit or squirrel, and after that I'd grab my ole 300 Win mag for everything else.
