Smith and Wesson .460

I had the pleasure of shooting this revolver a week ago. It is a heavy piece but it pays off when shooting. It fires .45 Colt, .454 Casull, and .460's! I fired all three rounds through it. .460 rounds are pretty pricey so it is nice to be able to shoot .45 Colts at a cheaper price. The kick isn't really that bad because of the weight.I would say it is like a .44 mag. What is really fun able it is the sound. IT IS LOUD! I call it "The Thunder"! I shot this outside and wouldn't want to shoot it inside. Also, there is a lot of fire that comes out of this gun. It actually burnt a rest bag that my buddy used!

I learned one tough lesson this year.

I shot at a doe this year at the edge of dark that jumped up, and was blind for 1 min due to the flash, and think I did permanent damage to my left ear. It doesn't ring anymore, but feel I lost some hearing. I missed the doe, and she stood 40 yards off looking at me. I woulnd't take another shot for it. Need some good game ears if you are going to hunt with it.

Sir, you are 100% correct! I wouldn't want to shoot that thing in low light and without ear protection!

After shooting that though, I went back to shooting .40's and .45's and it felt and sounded like shooting a .22! :D
