Rifle in IN

RE: Rifle in IN
What has been mentioned numerous times about this subject is to pick up a Marlin 1895 44 Magnum levergun and enjoy. Plenty of power and energy with a 240gr bullet and it is a blast to shoot. I picked one up last year and havent looked back. Easy to handload and just a lot of fun. I havent taken game with it, but seeing what it can do to an 8X8 treated piece of lumber at 65 yards, I have no doubt about its ability to drop a deer.

I would look at the Henry Big Boy in .44 magnum. Also, Puma (Rossi?) makes a Win Model 92 replica that they chamber in .454 Casul and also .480 Ruger, I believe, and you can get them in stainless. Sweet looking gun and the reviews I've read say they're built well and shoot straight. I'm hoping to get one at some point.

I'm partial to the 41mag but a 44mag is ok as well. I have inserts forsale in both of these calibers that go into a single shot shotgun barrel. Alot cheaper than a complete rifle? [email protected]
