Gun Purchase

Ok,

So I am in the market for a gun, this would be my first and I have posted new gun questions before.

I finally made it into a gun shop cause everyone tells me you won't know what gun till you hold it up and "ït fits" well I picked up a few guns, ruger MKII, Tikka Hunter Lite, and a Remingtion 700, they all felt very small, not really small but short in the stock.

I am 6'4" and have long extremities, should I be in the market for a larger gun, or will I have to buy something that feels short and look to get add on parts down the road to make it fit better,,

Thanks
Jeff

You will probably end up adding a longer/thicker butt pad to make due until you get a custom stock.

If you will be hunting in cold weather and wearing heavy clothing, that can sometimes add an inch or so onto the length of pull that can also betaken into considerationwhen you shoulder it in the shop. It may not impact you very much but it does impact others, so it'sat leastsomething to be aware of anyway.

I agree with you. I can shoot a shorter length of pull better then too long of one.

I never thought of that, makes perfect sense though,
