AR 15 rifles
My sons is home from Marine Corp boot camp and was talking about maybe buy a AR 15... He wants one of the carbine types with the colapsible but stock... There seems like a few different makers out there... Who makes the best quality one??? We were looking at the S&W M&P version:)

RE: AR 15 rifles
You can not go wrong with the name brand AR's. I do feel the Colt is over priced.
Tell your son that I thank him for his service. Tom. |
RE: AR 15 rifles
Rock River Arms. Nuff said.

RE: AR 15 rifles
Can he take it with him to IRAQ or Afganastan? If so I would suggest something more like a shotgun because he'll already have an M16 unless he's going to shoot the SAW. If he just wants something to practice with he only needs a .22 but hey, there's nothing wrong with wanting. If he's accurate on out to 200 yards with a .22 then he'll be deadly with the M16.
Good luck to your son, godspeed to him, and I appreciate what he is doing. You should be proud! |

Seriously, I would consider a Rock River Arms mainly because they use milspec buffers and offer a high quality product at a relatively good price. |

I am sure he can dot your I's at 200 yards. I agree with the Rock River. I have a varmint model that shoots under or right at two inch groups at 300 yards. Tom. |
RE: AR 15 rifles
I have a Bushmaster, and its ok. Had some initial jams with cheap ammo. Goverment ammo works great. I would recommend the rock river too if your looking for accuracy without the chrome lined barrel. Just regular go out and bang, bang, I would recommend my bushmaster shorty carbine.
