Stevens 200 in 243

Well, I posted a few weeks ago about buying this rifle and after mounting a scope and shooting with it, it is pretty much the same story you've all heard. Real accurate, fits well, a pleasure to shoot, and the ugliest stock in the business. I couldnt be happier for 289 before taxes! EJ

Bought my son the same rifle except in 7-08 cal for his first deer hunting rifle. I'm not crazy about the stock either but the gun shoots great and the boy loves it. I guess that what counts.

Does the stevens come with the accutrigger?

I just bought this one two weeks ago. Your right the grey sythetic stock doesn't look so nice so I doctored mine up.

$9.00 worth of spray paint, leaves from my back yard and this is what I got. The scope as you can tell was bought that way ( Nikon Buckmaster HD Realtree camo).

I won the bid today on a bipod that I will camo as well and I'm set.

This is strickly bought for Cyotes and it's chambered in a 243. What a tac driver.

The Accutriger only comes on the Savage models. Other than that, their the same gun.

Here's a shot a little closer.

Just curious... Why strictly for yotes? Looks like one heckuva nice deer rig to me.

The paint is Krylon Camouflage. It's extra flat and dries in minutes.

The reason I said it was strickly for Cyotes is because I live in Ohio and can't use it for deer here. I hope to use it for deer at some point if I get a trip out of state planned but I bought it with cyotes in mind.

The paint job looks great and the 243 is a very good deer rifle also.
When you say tack driver, what kind of groups is that?Have looked at these rifles and to me they look ok.
