moa from mine out of the box. I am using handloads as well which helps since I tune ammo to the gun. I wish I had a few more of these. I would take a 270, 25-06, and a 300 win mag for good measure. EJ

ORIGINAL: Green Pea

I just bought this one two weeks ago. Your right the grey sythetic stock doesn't look so nice so I doctored mine up.

$9.00 worth of spray paint, leaves from my back yard and this is what I got.
Really nicely done, GP. Hats off to you. I've just lately gotten into repainting my synthetic stocks and I've done 3 of mine so far. I haven't done any camo patterns yet, but I can certainly appreciate the nice job you did onyours.

Well, I posted a few weeks ago about buying this rifle and after mounting a scope and shooting with it, it is pretty much the same story you've all heard. Real accurate, fits well, a pleasure to shoot, and the ugliest stock in the business. I couldnt be happier for 289 before taxes! EJ
Congrats on the new shooter. I don't have any experience with Stevens, but my friends who have them have been pleased.

I have always liked the tan stocks with the black splater on them so here is what I did to my savage this is a before and after. The first pic is where my stevens took its first coyote.

Here she is with a good sanding to take off all the rough edges and some fusion paint.

Don't feel bad, I have not been able to post pictures from photobucket either, I have to link to them like you did.

I have seriously been considering one of these rifles. I used to have a 110E savage in 30-06 years ago and really liked it. I wish I could get one with a wood stock though.

If I get one I'm not sure if I want a .243 or 22-250.
