What's wrong with the stock?

It's very ugly, and like you said, the camo scratches off the stock.

I want to know what makes it any uglier than an SPS stock?

And now for the ugliest gun ever built in the history of man.............

Would you quit tryin' to throw insults at me? "The ugliest gun in the history of man", happens to be my gun, and I like it very much, heck, it almost shoots better than my dad's Browning A-Bolt M2000 Hunter, thumbhole stock.

Anyway, thanks for the pic, I needed one to show off with, my good ole' Remington Model 673 "Guide Gun", .308 Win.

Where do you get there photos anyway? Could you give me a link?

I'm not throwing insults, I'm just stating an opinion since your whole "theory" on the XCR stock being "bad" is because it is "ugly".

As for links, go to remingtons website, lotsa pictures.

I think the XCR series are about as tough of factory gun as you are going to find, the stock has a great feel to it and with the TriNyte finish over the stainless steel it's going to withstand theworst of enviroments.

Rammer, I would have to agree with you on the ugliest rifle being theRemington 673along with the other M600 series.Sometimes you have to wonder what the talking headsat big green are thinking of. That laminated stocked, ventilated, sharkfin sight thing didnt work 40 years ago and isnt working today.

here's one that beat the 673 in the looks department ..........

I think that they think it's ugly is just because of the grey cosmetics and maybe because of the way it's trimmed and maybe because of the bead blast. Me personally I prefer the traditional checkered stocks similar to what the ADL has.

M77, I think you hit it on the head, that's why I think the XCR is ugly, but it's a matter of preference, I guess, 'cause I think my gun, the 673, is very beautiful.

If you want ugly, see one of those Cricket single-shot 22's, in hot pink!
Aghh!!!!!!
