Browning's MSRP; is it a setup?
Just curious what you guys thought. I looked at a Citori Superlight Feather (20 g.) yesterday. The store was asking $ 1,800 Canadian for it. After looking at the Browning website, I was astonished to see an MSRP of $ 2,100 US. It is very rare to find a gun here the same price; not to mention cheaper, than it is available in the states. Is this MSRP an artificial number to get you to think you're gun shop is giving you a good deal when he goes under?
Thanks, |

yep MSRP is just what they claim its "worth". Usually in my area all guns are around $100 less than than their published MSRP.

M - Manufacturers
S - Suggested Key word here R - Retail P - Price They will also have a MAP price which is Minimum Advertised Price which is the lowest a dealer can sell a particular item for. Or at least advertise it for.It keepsall the retailerson a level playing field so to speak. |

I have never seen a new Browning selling as high as the MSRP. However, I have had dealers admit that sometimes they are hard to get ahold of. I saw a Citori superlight yesterday for $1600 USA. I can see why they appeal, good totin' guns.

All the guns here are always sold for less than the MSRP that I've seen here.
