Default 7mm-08 Ammo?

I have a Browning A-Bolt Micro in 7MM-08. I have been using Federal Premium 140g. Nosler Ballistic Tip ammo out of it. Looking to move to a different round and curious to see what others are shooting.

For deer size game, you will have a hard time beating what you are using. I load the Sierra 120 grain Pro-Hunter in my 7MM-08 but the BT is a great deer bullet. I just bought some Barnes 120 Grain TXS to try next. No report as yet on these. If they make the Federal Fusion in 7MM-08, that would be an excellent choice as well.

Never been a fan of any of the ballistic tip ammo. I use Hornady 139 gr interlocks in my 7mm-08. Excellent bullet for deer sized game.

I handload Barnes Triple Shocks for mine. Fantastic bullet. If you want a well made bullet from a factory offering, those Federal Fusions are well built at a moderate price.

I tried the Hornady 139's in my 7-08, and they gave respectable accuracy for deer loads. I then tried Nosler 140 Partitions, and they also gave decent accuracy. I then tried Nosler 140 Accubonds, and the accuracy increase was impressive. 2800+ fps with a healthy charge of IMR 4350. Several mid-range charges produced one ragged hole groups, but I opted for a little more speed, still keeping the 5-shot groups well under 1 MOA.
All shot from my 700 CDL wth factory bedding, Leupold Rifleman 4x12 on 12x.
I'm a happy camper.

My "go-to"handload for my Rem 700 Mtn LSS 7mm-08 is 145 Grn Speer SP HotCor's @ a muzzlevelocity of 2,800FPS.

The closest thing in a factory load is the Federal Power Shock loaded with 150 Grn Speer HotCor's.
