S & W Shotguns

I believe Smith & Wesson made a Semi Shotgun back in the 60's which did not last long on the market, but I never owned one. All I have owned are Mod. 12's.Any opinions on the new ones for 2007?

I had a Smith and Wesson pump shotgun back in the 1970s and it was dreadfull. The recoil was viscious and in less than two yearsafter buying it newthe stock broke one daywhen I fired it. They may have a good reputation for handguns but I would never buy another shotgun from them.

only shotgun i will ever own is Mossbergs! they take serious beatings and function flawlessly. i can't even begin to tell you how many times i've dropped one in the sand (when i use to dog hunt) and had to clean it with a steel whip antenna, paper towel and wd-40 in the woods and shot deer the same day.

The old S&W shotguns were pretty much junk. I don't have any experience with the new ones.
