If you're just punching paper for fun, an original Springfield trapdoor is hard to beat. You can normally find original rifles in shooting condition in the $500.00 neighborhood. Rifles in excellent condition can for two to three times that amount though.

I also have a Buffalo classic and shoot boffalo bore ammo. I have knocked a deer off its feet at over 200 yards.
