Basically you just peel it off just like skinning an animal before it dries. If you let it dry then I don't know, I suspect it would be a bit hardet to get off you would probably have to cut it off.

I did one not too long ago, I had to cut it off from around the base of the antlers and scrape the cartilage out from around the base of the antler too. Don't stop cutting and scraping untill it's all bone and you can't scrape any more. Make sure you get all the membrain off.

I wouldn't say to boil it as it will weaken the bone. Scraping with a knife is just easier. This may be a little late now but oh well.
