Savage 200

I was wondering if the savage 200 isa good gun. I'm thinking of getting it in 30-06 as I have others in that caliber, and I want a cheap but accurate gun.
thanks

The Stevens 200 is an excellent gun, reliable, accurate, and will not break the bank.

i have a stevens 200 in 223 it shoots 1 inch groups a 100 yards with factory ammo the only thing i can say is that it is pretty light so th 06 might kick a little but a great gun

RE: Savage 200

The Stevens 200 is a Savage 110 without an accutrigger. If possible I would try to spend the little extra for the accutrigger.

I recieved a Savage 110 30-06as a Christmas present when I was 10 way back then the accutrigger didnt exist...when I was 15-16 I could out shoot all my Dad's buddies regardless of their rifle...That has been many years ago and Savage has only improved the 110 through time.

BEST BUY I SAY
All sorts of aftermarket parts available and thanks to the "ugly" barrel nut, swaps are quite quick when you need a little flatter round(25-06) or more punch(.338-06,.35Whelen)
