i own a h&r .243 22 inch bull barrel ultra hunter with a 3x9 bushnell legend it is {in my opinion} the best woodchuck rifle there is ... it is a tad heavy

The 44-08 and the 44-06 are the 308 Win. case and 30-06 case necked up to take a 44 caliber bullet. Basically a rimless 444 Marlin of sorts...

As far as pricing goes, the barrels will list for around $225.00...

So far, the most requested cartridge is the 6mm Bench Rest!
