H&R 22 lr. Match with 1.200" dia. barrel...
 

I'm just starting another project now that I have just received my barrel and finished my stock set. I'm building a .22 lr. MATCH rifle that is based off the H&R action. I am adding a Dan Lilja Match Grade stainless steel barrel that is 1.200" in diameter and one of our custom laminated thumbhole stocks in red/white/blue. The forend is a 3" wide beavertail forend that is made strictly for bench rest shooting and competition. The forend will be pillar bedded to the barrel and the trigger will be reworked down to 6-8 ounces. When finished, we will mount a Weaver 36X target scope in Burris Signature Zee rings...

If everything goes according to plan, I should have pictures of this rig ready to post around the first of next week. I will do a new posting with pictures as soon as everything is complete....

I can't wait to hear how this monster shoots. You must tell us and let us know about the types of ammo it likes.

this rifle was completed at 8:00 o'clock last night but it will be Tuesday before we receive the Weaver 36X target scope that was ordered for it. I plan on shooting a couple of A.R.A. (American Rimfire Association) Matches with it come springtime. We have lot's of people waiting to see this gun and how well it will shoot. If all goes well, I should have pictures ready to post sometime this next Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Hopefully, I can have a target or two to post with it....

Sounds like you did it right. Lija barrel, Pillar bedded, * oz trigger, Weat T36, Zee rings. Should be a monster. We will be waiting.

I'm going to start with Wolf Match Target and Match Extra, CCI-Green Tag and Eley... As soon as UPS brings me the scope, I'll get it centered in the Burris rings and then head to the range provided it's not raining. I will keep you posted....
