870 Remington
 

Any body know if 870 express wood is the same as 870 wingmaster.What I want to know is will express wood fit an older wingmaster.

yes an 870 is an 870 the just use cheaper quality finish and would on the express other then that they are all interchagable as long as it is the same guage.

The 870 Wingmaster has a nice varnished walnut stock and a glossy blued barrel.
The 870 Express has a satin finish walnut stock and a matte blued barrel.

They are interchangable (same gauge) but don't exactly look the same.

Just a little warning about the Express wood, several years ago I had an 870 Express out in a duck blind in a rain storm. The wood on the forearm actually swelled, you could not pump the gun enough to feed and eject shells. When it dried it was ok, I pulled it apart and finished the inside of the forearm and it was fine from there on.
