RE: your oppinions on mossbergs
Ill take a chevy and a mossberg any day. ill be drivin my chevy while you are pushing your ford and ill be shooting my mossberg while you are cleaning your winchester.
there rifles are fine if all you plan to do is hunt big game i mean dont expect it to be a bench gun but they do shoot well enough for hunting. my friend ray has one in 308 and it will hold 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards with remington core junks.
there shotguns on another note are excellent they are the only shotguns I own and will probably ever own ( I have 3) I would maybe own a remington shotgun if the stocks didnt feel like they were made for pewny little hands. mossbergs are flat out tough and reliable. not to mention mossbergs customer service and the way they stand behind their product that alone is worth buying a mossberg.

The ones I handled were solid performaers and seem robust and well made. But they were not the most elegant or trim of rifles. They seem a bit bulky. But if you can get it for 200 bucks or less, it would be a good deal. Otherwise a better choice would be the stevens 200 in '06. Of course if you like the rifle and you want it becaus you want it, then that's another story
