Red, I sold BC a STW a few years ago and just wanted to know whether it was SToeger or Beretta on the barrel to get an idea of when the gun was made. I know beretta took over in 2000 but I wanted to see whether they stamped their guns immediately or waited a while.

OEH, remember about that same time Sako was doing away with 300RUM and STW chamberings, you could get either for 800 online NIB. Now, I can't find a new RUM stainless/syn for under 1000 anywhere.

I saw a SS 300Rum a few weeks ago for about 1000 bucks. Think it was on Gunbroker..did you ever deal with Cott Firearms in Missouri?

I think it was at the Hyatt Gun Shop in Charlotte NC they may have had one. They have a website and once in a while list stuff on Gunbroker..They have a 1s I would like to buy in 300 win mag but they are asking a tad much for it but the 1s is nice

I've had my Sako in 300WM since they came out...'97 I think. Never had a problem and handles like dream. It's a bit on the heavy side but that tames the recoil a bit and I've shot it a lot over the years. I'd wager that the Finnlight is awesome too but I'd stick with the 75 SS. Enjoy it! ;)

Pardon me for asking (this is probably a dumb question) but are they pronounced SAY-ko or SAH-ko? I've heard it both ways, but I haven't seen a commercial on TV to tell me the correct pronunciation.

(Gotta love OLN; didn't know for sure Leupold was pronounced LOO-pold until I saw their commercial. Too many people I knowstill say LEE-uh-pold.)
