RE: New 2006 Remingtons.

I have a copy of Remingtons 2006 catalog. The 750 is the wood stocked rifle they are selling, and they are continuing to offer the 7400 in synthetic.
Personally I prefer the BAR to either one. Mine is a .270 with a BOSS, and when I do my part it will put three shots into a nickel size spot at 100 yards.
But to give them their due, the Remingtons are more affordable.

I've still got a bad taste in my mouth from the last 700 I owned, about 5 years ago. I haven't had any desire to buy another Remington of any sort since.

I own a Remington 700 in 7mm mag, a 760 in 30-06 an 1100 in 20ga. I have never had any jams or problems with any of my guns. I don't know about the new guns, but the older ones have always been reliable. My 760 even got run over by a truck and still works fine. I bought a Savage in .17 cal last year. It shoots great, but like all other Savage rifles it is cheaply made. I should have spent the money and bought a Remington not a cheap Canadian made rifle from Savage.

Let's see is it made out of cheap components that arewell made or expensive components cheaply made. In any event it must be well made if it shoots great;)

I've only owned Remingtons all my life and have had nothing but good guns!!!! I'm a lefty so for my next gun I opted for a Savage.... Man was I ever sorry I bought that piece of !@#$!!!! The stainless looked like it had amirror finish on it... If you looked down the barrel from the muzzle you could see some blemish in the tooling of the rifeling... Anyhow the gun wouldnb't shoot that good so i sent it back to savage... they sent it back to me with a target that had a 5 shot group mesuring 1.86"... they said that was exceptible accuracy... The only thing that gun would do good would be to signal for help if you were lost some were from the sun reflecting off the mirror finish it had...

Sold that hunk of crap and bought a Remington XCR... Shoots 1" MOA all day long:D
