Remmington 7400

I have to buy a new 30-06 Auto this year and I have been thinking about the Remmington 7400 Auto in Black synthetic. Does anyone have any experince with this gun. I know the gun is tried and true but I really like the idiea of the synthetic as it will be used strickly for deer hunting in all weather.I thought about theBrowning but thats not in the budget for this year. I just bought a 7400 in a 270 cal but I havent even shot it yet. Havent
put a scope or sling or anything on it.My buddy has a 30-06 in a 7400
carbine, he has shot alot of deer with it, it neverjambs buthe keeps it
really clean at all times. My buddy has taken a number of doubles on running deer that I dont think he or anybody else could of taken with a bolt[ running through thick river bottoms].

I think they have done alot of changes in 2006. Makes them little more dynamic for different loads and cycling well.

I have had one for almost 15 years. I killed a whole lot of deer with it. I hate to say it but haven't used it much in the last 6 years.

Keep them clean and they will do a good job for you.
